Meet K I M B E R L Y. Our fearless leader, and we mean as fearless as they come. She came to us from the cycling world where you might have known her as the mastermind behind the brand at Verticity, and before that she spent over a decade in the entertainment industry as a wardrobe stylist and marketing director. Lucky for us, her passion for meditation and her mission to change lives led her here to us as the owner of Flourish.

As a FLOURISH instructor, her classes are contemplative, creative, and uplifting, with lots of space for you to discover what you’re meant to and nothing but what you need in the most unexpected of ways, like a forest floor visualization for relaxation (she’s also a wilderness guide!) or a toy sailboat metaphor as a way to clear a busy mind. Be ready to be challenged, to grieve, to heal, and to grow.

And be sure to ask her where to shop for her favorite athleisure because once a stylist, always a stylist.

You may know K A T E as a meditation and yoga teacher, but before teaching in the wellness space, Kate was an editor and writer for several websites and food blogs. Her love for writing spills into the way she teaches meditation — each session is deep and introspective, and will align you more with who you truly are. In fact, alignment is kind of her thing. Kate believes in following your heart and she will help you follow yours too. Thankfully for us, her heart led us to Flourish.

As an instructor, Kate believes the breath is a powerful tool to cleanse the body and revitalize the mind. One of her favorite exercises uses the breath to heal each of the chakras. Kate also loves using guided meditations to heal relationships, stress, and to break down the walls we build around ourselves. Don't be surprised if Kate is surrounded by books — she often uses texts throughout her classes. Get ready to transform into the best version of yourself and to truly love who you are exactly as you are.

Kate also happens to be a vegan — so be sure to ask her for her favorite spots to grab a healthy bite around town.

Meet A S H L E Y, our teacher-in-training! Ashley is a longtime runner and fitness enthusiast who by day works as an HR professional where she enjoys being able to guide and counsel employees as they find their path. She found the importance of mindfulness and meditation after having kids, when the feelings of anxiety and balancing motherhood with a career set in and she realized that some of her anxiety was unneeded pressure she was putting on herself (as a lot of women commonly do when they enter into the new role of motherhood). Anxiety and the pursuit for perfection were taking away from her the simple joys in life. Making time for herself and what’s dearest to her is what showed Ashley some of life’s greatest values. That includes meditation, which gave Ashley time to clear her mind, reconnect with her body, and focus on her breath and all that it supports us to do. Breathwork and mindfulness proved to her that the time spent focusing on the simple task of the human connection can help alleviate the pressures of the world and clarify what’s most important. HINT: that list can actually be pretty short. Ashley is excited for this new opportunity to guide people to a more mindful place as they take time to focus on their own inner light.
