OUR PHILOSOPHY

Meditation is the other part of life. The other half of all the living we’re out there doing. The other side to the hustle, the work, the energy we give out to others. It’s part of our rest repertoire; Sleep isn’t the only rest we need. And more than that, it’s the time we spend with ourselves. The goal of meditation is to know yourself better. To hear your own voice more clearly. To discover or uncover your own truth. Which in turn will guide you when you’re out there living, hustling, and giving energy out. When you’re anchored to yourself, when you know more and more deeply who you are and what you need (and what you don’t), every decision you make, every word you say, everything you do is impacted.

That is when you flourish.

This happens through awareness. Through allowing the space and time for what’s there to rise up. Through stripping away the constant stimulation and distraction. Through stillness. Through connecting with your breath.

Mind. Body. Breath.

People often say that meditation isn’t for them. That their brain doesn’t work that way. That their mind doesn’t quiet. But no one’s does when you haven’t yet learned how. Could you walk into a new type of fitness class for the first time and know all the moves? It’s not uniquely challenging for anyone. We all start there. It’s called a practice for a reason. We are all made with this capability and we are all called to practice it.

At Flourish, we teach meditation. We don’t just lead it, telling students what to do in one particular class and then sending them back out there to live. We teach you how to do it, how to be impacted by it, how to allow it to change your life. Come uncertain. Come scared. Come with a mind that won’t quiet. Just come.

Come flourish with us.
